Entry 38

January 4th

Alfie met up with Laura at the school for another date. When it became dark they decided to tell ghost stories and after all the stories mum would tell Dan and me, Alfie had plenty to tell. As he was telling his best ghost story he started to gather an audience of Sims eager to listen about the pirates cove. Alfie told me they hung on his every word making his ego bigger than ever, not that it needed a push at times.

January 6th

I told you that the chemistry set that Izzy insisted on buying Alfie was a bad idea. Unfortunately he wasn't the only one using the equipment. Izzy was using it because she was working at the hospital and wanted to discover more medicines. April also had been using it but I fear she has an ultra  motive. The school called me up as the spotted Alfie letting off a stick bomb in the playground, detention again. When will my boy ever learn?

January 9th

Belle came home with a big smile on her face. Apparently the school were holding their annual dance and Belle wants to go."Are you going with a group of friends?" I asked hopefully. At this point Izzy just glared at me, what did I say wrong? "No Daddy. Shane has asked me to go and I accepted. I've seen this dress it's gorgeous, I know it's expensive but..." I had to stop her right there, my head started to spin out of control boys and money in the same sentence. My worst nightmare was coming true but I kept calm for Belle and replied "How much do you need ?and make sure he brings you home by 10.30pm." "$600 and thank you Daddy." as I stood there in shock I just handed over the money.

January 11th

Prom Night

I could hear a lot of commotion upstairs as both Alfie and Belle were getting ready. Izzy had come downstairs in a fit of laughter, apparently when she went passed Alfie's room he was checking himself out in the mirror and the smell that wafted from the room was the cheap aftershave you get at the market. He had spent the last few days growing his hair to look better for this prom but we all know it was because in was escorting Laura to the dance.

Alfie was the first to make his way downstairs and have to admit he not only looked handsome but I was never more proud than right then as I could see what a good young man my boy would turn out to be. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw Belle coming down the stairs and for the first time I didn't see my little girl, I saw a beautiful young woman. I hated to admit it but there it was the truth, Belle was now grown up.

Shane was already waiting in the limo for Belle but you could see by the look in his face that he thought she was breathing taking. Alfie unfortunately had to met Laura there as she was still getting ready.

When they arrived home you could see by the look in both their eyes what a wonderful time they had at the prom. They both won King and Queen of the prom but Alfie did annoy the teachers by reminding all pupils they must pull a prank on the school before the end of the school year.

Shane and Belle were inseparable and never left each other side and according to Alfie they caused quite the stir on the dance floor and when they both showed the pictures that had been taken, I was shocked because all I could see were my daughters leg in that boys arm and Laura had do the same with Alfie. Couldn't they have just stood next to each other.
